Common Things To Watch For
Here I will start a list that I will continue to add to of techniques that are repeated that will tip you off that something is up.
1. Strikingly ironic or comically "coincidental" titles or names.
Deceivers often are amused with their cleverness and enjoy hiding things in plain site. One example might be "the learned Dr. Plot" who very well could be "controlled opposition" at the beginning of the magical and timely appearance of Dinosaur bones at the exact time they were needed for social engineering purposes. Even if you haven't thought of looking into all the inconsistencies regarding the existence of the delightful, beloved, and sometime terrifying "dinosauria", some of whose skeletons would fail under it's weight, this name is an example of what the intentional technique would look like.
2. "Buttressing" phoney authority
Read the book "The Great Deceit" to learn how "buttressing" is used. Learn where the "buttressing" is and who is involved in it. This will keep you from being fooled by "appealing to authority" when that "authority" is a fraud "buttressing" the fraud you are trying to check.

Serious deceivers play both sides of the fence. In order to throw off people who are trying to get to the bottom of an issue, there are people paid to appear they are sympathetic, and to infiltrate what they are trying to destroy.

Where does one start?
1. Keep in mind every text is coming from the writer's own worldview; the view from which they see the world such as belief in the supernatural, Materialist, Atheist, Man as God, etc. To demonstrate the gravity of this foundational point: in world war II, one of Hitler's devices was what the Nazi's termed Weltanschauungskrieg (literally, worldview warfare)
For time's sake, I will start with summaries of what I have found and add links to my sources later as time allows. Feel free to ask for sources if you want an answer within a timeframe and I will do my best to respond in a timely manner.
The answer to "where does one start" is different for every individual. I may change my mind as time and my studies progress, but because I have to choose a starting place, I think the best place to start is with Manly P. Hall, founder of the Philosophical Research Society, whose teachings and lectures reach the corners of the world. His information is notable to the widest group of people; ie "everyone", because he addresses both "Believers" and "Non-Believers", and the "Powers that be" appear to be using his materials, world wide, in all institutions and in the arts for the purpose for ushering in "Globalism".
Hall's work is for training students in the "Occult" (hidden) and he doesn't always tell the truth. One example I found is that he said we don't know what the name "Moses" means and we will never know. Keep in mind, Hall did know Bible scripture and likely knew that every Person, Place, thing, color, number, animal, etc., all have additional meaning. For example, "woman" means "church", and one would use the Hebrew or Koine Greek languages to reveal more layers of meaning out of each word. In Hebrew, each letter and its corresponding number value adds more meaning, and the words have meaning backwards as well as forward. The entire Hebrew language is like this and makes the periodic table of elements, which is the closest thing we have to this, look childish in comparison.
Typically, if one didn't speak Hebrew, they would get a Lexicon, to study the individual words, but in the case of "Moses", the meaning of the word is actually included in the text of the Bible: "And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water" Exodus 2:10.
It appears that Hall's statement on not knowing the meaning of "Moses" is to have any Bible students show themselves; a technique pointed out in the New Testament. "For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you." 1 Corinthians 11:19
In Hall's newsletter series to his students titled "The Secret Doctrine In The Bible", Hall explains there are 12 world leaders including Jesus. He basically admits that 11 of them are for ushering in the One World system and Jesus's teaching is the only one based on the truth; but the truth is not what he and his students are looking for. The One World System is being brought about through the hidden occult working through turning the scriptures upside down; the one thing that will foil any scrap of progress is when they are exposed by truth.
Hall met an untimely death under very strange circumstances with some of his associates as explained in a statement by Hall's widow on the Manly P Hall website.
